The HYPERDRIVE DESIGN concept comprises a combination of different manufacturing techniques, which considerably improve the functioning and the lifespan of a baitcasting reel:

• HYPER Armed Housing, a distortion-proof metal frame (magnesium, Aluminium) that permanently houses the gear unit in a safe way within the reel body.
• HYPERDRIVE Digigear: newly developed gears, an evolution of the Daiwa Digigear, improve its performance in smoothness, power and endurance. Durability is increased by 60%.
• HYPER Double Support: a double support system for the pinion gear: improves performance under stress, but also improves durability and longevity of the gear.
• HYPER Tough Clutch: The reel release lever has been redesigned to be even stronger and more reliable.
