CERTATE SW – Power and reliability without compromise
The CERTATE SW was created to tackle large marine predators, carrying on the legacy of the CERTATE series. Designed for all anglers seeking high performance, it combines strength, precision and durability.
At the heart of the reel is the POWER DRIVE DESIGN, the same concept behind the large Saltiga spinning reels. This system consists of two main units: the POWERDRIVE ENGINE (body unit) and the POWERDRIVE ROTOR (rotor unit).
The POWER DRIVE ENGINE integrates an Oversized Power DigiGear gear increased in diameter and thickness for superior power transmission combined with the Roller Power Oscillation system on ball bearings that lowers friction ensuring light starting and smooth, responsive recovery.
These components, housed in the large full metal (AL) monocoque body, ensure light starting, high efficiency and constant recovery power.
The POWERDRIVE ROTOR rotor unit, made of ZAION, optimizes stiffness and inertia: compared with previous models, the rotor is stiffer and more responsive while maintaining low inertia. The result is a smooth and light retrieval that provides maximum sensitivity when animating artificials such as jerkbaits, plugs or other lures that need more control..
The synergy between the Crank Power Bail bow and the Tough Line Roller System ensures flawless line guidance and smooth transition between casting and retrieving. Complementing the ballistic performance, the LC-ABS SW double-tapered spool reduces outgoing line friction, improving smoothness and ultimate range to achieve maximum distance even at decisive moments.
To protect the reel from water and salt spray, the crank seal has been improved, while Magsealed on the sprocket and roller ensures water resistance even in extreme conditions.
The CERTATE SW integrates all the most advanced technologies of the CERTATE series, including full metal monocoque body, Magsealed, and high-strength gears, offering a powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use reel in any fishing situation.
The range includes 9 models: 8000-P, 8000-H, 10000-P, 10000-H, 14000-P, 14000-XH, 18000-H, 20000-P and 20000-H, covering from jigging and casting on tuna and greenhouse fish with size 8000 to large GT, bluefin tuna and marlin with size 20000.

MONOCOQUE BODY
Full metal body (AL)
MONOCOQUE BODY technology gives the reel extreme structural rigidity and increased stress resistance. The monocoque body also makes it possible to accommodate a larger control wheel, improving rotation and power transmission. The MQ concept also allows for increased resistance to dirt and saltiness while increasing durability.
MAGSEALED
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the sprocket outlet from the body, preventing water from entering the body. The technology, used by Nasa in fuel lines on spacecraft, is exclusive to Daiwa in the industry. it is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from corrosion hazards, extending the life of the reel.
ATD TOUGH
Clutch that works smoothly by pandering to the fish’s escapes. The ATD Tough drag version uses carbon discs for increased strength and durability, providing smooth starts and maximum progressiveness, allowing you to focus solely on the fight.
LC-ABS SW
Evolution of the famous LC-ABS system. The upper flange of the spool adopts a double taper that reduces the friction of the wire coming out of the deeper diameters. Result: smoother casting, better release in the final phase, and up to +2% distance with large diameter wires.
CRANK POWER BAIL
In big game, immediately retrieving the line is critical. The crank shape with optimized tilt and reinforced springs safely guides the thread to the roll, reducing accidental opening/closing. The hollow tubular structure with increased cross section ensures high rigidity.
MANUAL CLOSING BAIL
To completely prevent accidental closure of the bow during launching and increase durability, a manual return system has been adopted that does not close it again with crank rotation.
KNOB "EGG" SHAPE

EVA ROUND KNOB
