The BG Monocoque is the ideal reel for those who want a very robust tool with inexhaustible power, capable of tackling large prey and very challenging fishing situations, both from land and boat, such as torpedo fishing, heavy spinning and shore jigging.

The name of the reel already explicitly refers to one of the principled features of this product: the one-piece body constructed entirely of solid, rigid, distortion-proof aluminum to withstand the great mechanical forces that act during fights with large prey.

The Tough Digigear gears used in the BG Monocoque are an evolution of the famous Daiwa Digigear, the first gears designed totally digitally: with their larger size and wider teeth, they provide better power transmission and superior durability.

The Automatic Tournament Drag clutch, in the special Carbon version, is powerful and modular and reacts gradually to initial stresses and then gradually increases in resistance. Carbon discs also ensure greater effectiveness under prolonged stresses, such as those caused by long and strenuous fights with large and powerful prey.
