CERTATE HD was created for this: a special version of the CERTATE designed around an all-aluminum construction designed for absolute rigidity, power and reliability.
The Airdrive aluminum rotor, with its unique sphere-inspired shape, maintains low inertia while offering high structural strength. In combination with the metal Monocoque Body (AL), it provides superior rigidity, extremely stable recovery and the rotational feel typical of full metal constructions.
The CERTATE HD is developed to deal with challenging fights and the retrieval of artificials that offer strong resistance, such as metal vib, blade jigs, and large minnows. For this reason, the range is deliberately limited to sizes 3000-5000.
Every component is designed for heavy use: ATD TOUGH clutch with high-strength carbon discs, SUS steel brake nut, headband optimized for use with thin wires, and Magsealed system for increased protection from water and external agents.
The all-metal construction is complemented by a new high-gloss black finish and 12 ball bearings, which contribute to smooth, powerful, and precise retrieval even under high loads.

The AIRDRIVE DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed-spool reels by optimizing their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotational inertia without compromising their strength. It is based on the redesign of the reels’ pivotal components:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia maintains solidity and strength while weighing less than its predecessor Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
The AIRDRIVE SPOOL reel is optimized in terms of weight and functionality by improving its swing. The anti-wire kink deflector and revised clicker mechanism help improve the user experience.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
The AIRDRIVE BAIL headband is thinner, lighter and yet more durable than its predecessor. Its inclination has been revised so as to improve the flow of the thread to the thread guide roller. In the 26 CERTATE HD, a crank-shaped version of the AIRDRIVE BAIL is adopted, designed to guide the line extremely smoothly to the reel even when using heavy jigs and high-strength artificials.
AIRDRIVE SHAFT
The Airdrive Shaft minimizes friction and power loss, ensuring smooth and quiet rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact with the sprocket, differentiating it from conventional systems.
MONOCOQUE BODY
MONOCOQUE BODY technology gives the reel extreme structural rigidity and increased stress resistance. The one-piece body also makes it possible to accommodate a larger control wheel, improving rotation and power transmission. The MQ concept also allows for increased resistance to dirt and saltiness while increasing durability.
MC TOUGH DIGIGEAR in Super Duraluminum
The drive gear, a central component of the reel, comes from the integration of three fundamental elements: design philosophy, processing technology, and gear material.
The super super duraluminum MC Tough Digigear mounted on the 26 CERTATE HD uses a very high-strength material obtained by cold forging, which is then subjected to extreme precision machining to achieve the ideal fit. A special surface treatment further increases the hardness of the gear, reducing adverse effects from sudden stresses.
In the larger size models subject to higher loads-the LT3000, LT4000-C, LT5000-C and LT5000 in the XH versions-a high-strength sprocket, already proven on models such as Saltiga, is adopted to ensure maximum reliability even under the heaviest conditions.
MAGSEALED BODY
MAGSEALED technology is a special magnetized oil membrane seals the sprocket outlet from the body, preventing water from entering the body. The absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from corrosion hazards, extending the life of the reel. This Daiwa-exclusive technology has been applied in the 26 CERTATE HD in the sprocket and thread guide roller area. Waterproofing, durability and performance are further improved, providing a high level of water protection.
