The Exist, Daiwa’ s iconic top-of-the-line reel gets a radical overhaul by introducing a revolutionary new construction concept destined to profoundly innovate the technological future of spinning reels: the AIRDRIVE DESIGN is based on the redesign and improvement of 4 fundamental elements of the reel: rotor, spool, bow and main shaft.

These elements were developed to make the Exist incredibly smoother and lighter, bringing user enjoyment to a level never before achieved by any reel.

In addition to the new redesigned elements, the new EXIST can rely on proven technologies exclusive to Daiwa in the industry, such as the MONOCOQUE BODY made of MAGNESIUM, MAGSEALED technology used for the body, bearings supporting the control wheel, and thread guide roller.

The latter has been further improved: the third-generation Twist Buster now has an additional groove that provides even better thread smoothness.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

A new rotor, completely redesigned and redesigned to provide exceptional smoothness: in fact, the new design allows the rotor’s weight to be reduced by 16% compared to its predecessor and further lowers the degree of inertia in rotation.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

A new, even lighter reel with a re-shaped skirt provides superior swing quality and greater sensitivity.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT

A redesigned system that ensures complete absence of contact between the main spindle and pinion.
The latter is now supported at the ends by bearings for even more efficient power transfer to the rotor.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

The new one-piece headband of the EXIST has a reduced diameter that allows it to limit its weight (33% less than the previous model) while maintaining great strength and solidity. A new angle of inclination was also designed to further optimize the sliding of the line inside the line guide roll, which was also redesigned to maximize smoothness.

New ATD Type L clutch

The new ATD-L clutch is not only lighter, but also incredibly more sensitive and progressive: it reacts to initial stress even more smoothly than the standard ATD and then gradually and even more smoothly settles to the set brake.

Compared with the standard ATD, the new ATD-L clutch maintains a more consistent response at the same spool speed: this results in less overheating of the plates, more stable and long-lasting performance, and easier combat handling.
