The Basia 45 scw QD is a high-quality Carpfishing reel equipped with some of Daiwa’s most advanced technology. The body is made of Zaion, the carbon-based composite super-material that is extremely responsive, durable, and performs similarly to or better than metals: for the same volume, it weighs 50 percent less than Aluminum.
The Basia also provides great performance in distance casting, thanks to the 45 mm Aluminum Log Cast spool: the special profile allows for reduced friction with the line as it spins out. The special Slow Cross Wrap winding system ensures better thread pick-up than traditional systems, positively affecting both casting and retrieving the line, minimizing the possibility of drawbacks such as tangles or wigs.

The Basia is equipped with Quick Drag (QD) clutch-a technology that provides great confidence to the angler, as it allows the angler to switch from open clutch to right brake in no time.
