The quintessential jigging reel is reborn, enhanced by exclusive HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR technology and enriched by a brand new feature: for the first time on a Daiwa model equipped with Level Wind (thread guide), the Spool Lock system is introduced.

The beating heart of the Saltiga 300 is the HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, here implemented with larger gear teeth to ensure smooth and powerful rotational performance, both under light loads and in the most extreme combat phases.

The structure is designed for maximum reliability through the new HYPERDRIVE DESIGN concept, which includes:

■ ANODE PROTECTION (ANODE PROTECTION)

“Maximum resistance against saltiness” Anode Protection is an advanced system designed to shield the reel from salt corrosion. By taking advantage of a special zinc element that attracts oxidation to itself, the internal structure remains insulated and protected from corrosive agents. This technology concentrates natural wear and tear on an expendable outer plate, preserving the structural integrity and mechanical smoothness of the Saltiga even after years of heavy offshore use.

■ SYNCRO LEVEL WIND (SYNCHRONIZED GUIDE ROLLER)

“Extreme fluidity and total control” The synchronized guide roller follows the position of the line during each recovery and release phase, eliminating friction. This very precise movement ensures flawless drag fluidity, maintaining control even under high loads. By moving the mechanics to the crank side, the new Saltiga 300 achieves revolutionary compactness, offering exceptional “palming” comfort without ever sacrificing power.

■ SPOOL LOCK MECHANISM (SPOOL LOCK)

“Total safety in case of stranding.” The Spool Lock is an essential system in jigging to safely handle strandings on the bottom without stressing the mechanics. Unlike common methods, this block completely disconnects the sprocket from the spool: you can then force the line to break (PE max 3.0) while avoiding transmitting critical stresses to gears and bearings. A smart solution that preserves the alignment of components and the original smoothness of your Saltiga over time.

■ THUMB HOLDING FRAME

“Revolutionary Ergonomics” The body design has been redefined by studying the grip of anglers to ensure absolute comfort. The Thumb Holding Frame provides natural thumb support, making it easier to control the spool and improving grip during combat. A totally new “palming” concept that transforms the way the reel is held.

■ 75-85mm ALUMINIUM HANDLE.

“Power and structural rigidity” The aluminum Crank Handle is designed to withstand the stresses of One-Pitch Jerk and heavy jigging. Thanks to the double adjustment (75mm or 85mm), it is possible to adapt the lever according to the type of fishing.
