The lightest Daiwa spinning reel ever: the new Airity features simply outstanding performance and build quality. The body is a monocoque type (MQ) made entirely of Magnesium to offer unparalleled structural stiffness and lightness parameters.

The 23 Airity was developed according to the new Airdrive Design construction concept for rotor, spool, headstock, and spindle, borrowed from the newest top-of-the-line Exist.

The rotor in particular, made of Zaion, is designed to minimize weight and rotational inertia while maintaining even greater strength than “standard” Air Rotors. The ATD-L clutch is also of the latest generation and has unprecedented sensitivity and precision performance: it reacts even more smoothly and softly to initial stress than conventional ATDs, then settling quickly but always smoothly to the set brake.

This is a key feature especially for those techniques that require the use of thin and very thin wires, such as trout area, light spinning, and bolognese.
